Ingredients

½ lb Payton’s Barbecue Pulled Pork®
1 tsp of extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
1 prepared pizza dough (Please note that the pizza dough you choose may affect the total time it will take you to prepare this recipe.)
⅔ cup of grated, smoked gouda cheese
⅔ cup grated mozzarella cheese
½ small red onion, thinly sliced
Cilantro (optional)

Great food should be shared!

Instructions

  1.  Brush a large bowl with olive oil. Shape the pizza dough into a ball, and place the ball in the oil-covered bowl. Turn the dough several times in the bowl until it is covered in oil. Cover and allow the dough to rise for 30 minutes.
  2.  Next, grease a baking sheet. Brush the parchment paper with olive oil. Place the ball of dough on the parchment paper and roll the dough into a circle. Allow the dough to rise for about 30 minutes.
  3.  Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F.
  4.  While the dough is rising and the oven is preheating, prepare Payton’s Barbecue Pulled Pork in your microwave or over your stove.
  5.  Once the dough has risen, spread your prepared Payton’s Barbecue Pulled Pork over the dough, leaving a one-inch border around the edge. Then sprinkle cheeses and red onion on top of the meat.
  6.  Place your cooking sheet in the oven and bake for until the crust is golden, about 20 to 25 minutes.
  7.  When the pizza is finished, sprinkle the pizza with chopped cilantro for some added flavor and color.
